The woman’s identity has been kept under wraps as she would come under severe public scrutiny. However, the law allows for the creation of a ‘lookback period’ for victims of sexual assault and abuses over 18 years to pursue time-barred claims in court. An act was passed in 2022, due to which the woman is eligible for suing Tyson.
The woman said she met Tyson and his driver at an Albany dance club, September, in the early 1990s. When her friend went to drop off her car, Tyson is said to have offered her a ride and when she was in his Limo, he is alleged to have touched her wrongly. The woman added that he then ‘violently raped her’ after pulling off her pants.
