Minor Cabinet Shuffle on Cards for Jagan?

Andhra Pradesh Assembly is discussing the Resolution to abolish the legislative council. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy himself moved the resolution and the resolution is likely to be passed effortlessly. The opposition, As soon as it is passed, the resolution will be sent to the Central Government.

Two Ministers in Jagan Cabinet – Pilli Subash Chandrabose and Mopidevi Venkata Ramana have to resign as they are the members of the council. Rumors are that they will resign as soon as the resolution is passed in the council. Jagan reportedly promised them Rajya Sabha berths now.

On the other side, a minor cabinet shuffle may follow after their resignations. Jagan may take two more MLAs into his cabinet in their place. They are likely to be replaced by the members of their own community. It is known that Pilli is also the Deputy Chief Minister.

After the induction, the portfolios of a couple of ministers may be changed as well. The complete clarity about this may emerge later this week.
