Mission Bhagiradha Power woes

Telangana Government announced ambitious projects Mission Bhagiradha. The project requires about 8,500MW power to make it operational. Already KCR Govt. allotted Rs.25,000Crs. for this purpose.

Telangana Genco officials are hoping to get the power as required by the projects. Genco generates 4,000MW power and another 4,000MW will be added by NTPC. Another 1,000MW will be procured from Chattisgarh and another 5,000MW from solar power generations. But the above are subjected to approvals from various departments. Take the case of Chattisgarh, power can be procured once the laying of power lines shall be completed. If all goes well, Telangana can able to meet the target demand.

As of now, there is no shortage of power in Telangana. And in future the state needs more power to fulfill the project needs.
