Mithun Reddy Surrenders in Central Jail

YSRCP MP Mithun Reddy surrendered at Rajahmundry Central Jail on Thursday. He had received five days of intermittent bail from the ACB Court to cast his vote in the Vice President elections, where YSRCP extended support to NDA candidate CP Radhakrishnan.

His bail ended on Wednesday, leading to his surrender again at the jail. Mithun Reddy remains a remand prisoner in connection with the Rs 3200 crore Andhra Pradesh liquor scam. His repeated bail pleas have been rejected so far by the court.

Meanwhile, other accused in the case, including Dhanunjaya Reddy, Krishnamohan Reddy, and Balaji Govindappa, have secured bail. Investigators allege that Mithun Reddy, seen as close to ex-CM Jagan Mohan Reddy, played a major role in diverting liquor kickbacks.

The Special Investigation Team continues to probe the scandal, which has sent shockwaves across Andhra Pradesh politics. With Mithun Reddy back in custody, the case is expected to gain further attention in the coming weeks.
