Modi Government Continues To Find Ways To Awade No Confidence Motion

Similar scenes have followed in Lok Sabha as Modi Government tries to escape the No Confidence Motion put up by TDP and YSR Congress. The Speaker clarified that No Confidence Motion can be taken up only when the house is in order but certain party MPs continued their protests.

As a result, the Lower House was adjourned for the day after a couple of adjournments. The plan of the government is like pushing AIADMK MPs to protest in the Speaker’s well and ensuring that the Speaker does not take up the No Confidence Motions since the house is not in order.

Interestingly, the government has got approved the Budget and many bills amid this ruckus but has got the problem only with the No Confidence Motions. Since the budget is already approved, it is now the matter of time, the session is adjourned sine dine.

Both TDP and YSR Congress have issued a whip to their MPs to attend both the houses of the Parliament. TDP has gone a step ahead and garnered all the support of 50 MPs to ensure that the motion is taken up for the discussion in the house but the government has its own plans.
