Modi's honeymoon coming to an end?

Entire nation rallied with Narendra Modi in the last elections giving BJP an absolute majority, a feat even the best of the experts ruled out. However it is all downhill for Modi from then. BJP is receiving setbacks in several states after that. And Modi’s own image is on a decline due to no-activity in this two years term.

The Global crude oil prices are hitting all time low, but the center is busy filling its coffers by increasing the excise duty. Government is imposing Cesses even on Swachch Bharath, even as providing cleanliness is the government’s basic responsibility.

The middle class is not at all happy and the upcoming Union Budget perhaps the last chance of Modi to make a mark on people who trusted. Whatever the government does from next year, will be seen as electoral gimmicks.
