Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s presence and popularity on social media is well known. It is therefore hardly a surprise that PM has crossed another Twitter milestone by passing the 15 million follower mark and has now got the spot of second-most followed world leader on Twitter.

Even in India, he is the third most-followed person on Twitter after Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan. Currently Sharukh has 15.3 million followers and Amitabh Bachchan has 17 million followers which looks like Modi will beat them in near future.

It is known that PM Modi’s overwhelming win has often been credited in part to his strategic digital campaigning. Even now as the PM of this great nation, Modi has maintained his social media presence and often used Twitter as part of his active digital diplomacy initiatives.
