Modi once again shows empty hand to AP

Andhra Pradesh’s finances are depleting day after day and the state is heading towards bankruptcy. Center which promised to cover the revenue deficit in the first year after bifurcation did not even shell a single rupee in that direction.

The truncated state just got 350 Crore extra help from the center last year while the requirements ranged up to 24500 Crore. The state is struggling every month and is going forward with loans. Very recently the state had requested the Center to immediately release 5000 Crore but the response is not hopeful till now.

The Chief Minister planned to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and exert pressure on him at the Niti Aayog meeting but Chandrababu could not go there due to Pushkaralu accident. Even AP Chief Secretary was also not allowed leaving AP’s case with out any representation.
