Modi Strategy: NTR In Telugu, Yash For Karnataka

BJP is actively making moves to expand their footprint in the South Indian states. The saffron party is making sizeable progress on this front.

Not too long ago, Union Home Minister Amit Shah met with Jr NTR. While this was projected as a formal meet to congratulate NTR for RRR’s success, it was later understood that the BJP bigwig met NTR with political intentions. It was even reported that BJP sees NTR as the star campaigner for the party in the Telugu states if the need comes.

Now, BJP has moved to quickly in Karnataka. This time around, the saffron party has gone after another film superstar, Yash of KGF fame.

Incidentally, Modi himself met with Yash a short while ago. He also met Kantara fame, Rishab Shetty but all the focus was obviously on Modi meeting Yash.

As it appears, BJP is focused on meeting the top stars from the respective states, who can boost the prospects of the saffron party and also help in widening the image of the party.

The meeting with NTR back then, and now, with Yash could be a part of this strategy. This idea of maintaining cordial relations with top film stars from respective states looks new. But will it do the job for the saffron party? We shall see.
