Modi’s Popularity in the Telugu States. Can It Influence Politics Here?

A survey by CVoter revealed interesting facts about the satisfaction levels of the people in various states with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Performance. Both the Telugu States were least satisfied with the Prime Minister in his previous tenure.

But then, that has changed drastically. The survey says that 83.6% of Andhra and 71.51% of Telangana people are happy with Modi sarkar. Jagan Government totally downplayed the Special Status issue immediately after coming to power and that has changed the perception of People in AP about the Modi Government.

BJP had registered impressive results in the 2019 Parliament Elections. So, this survey result should shake the KCR Government a bit. But then, BJP leaders and cadre should remember the drubbing in Local Elections before celebrating. Modi can help them but can not make them win the elections.

If they need to put up an impressive show in the state elections, there should do a lot of catching up. BJP in AP should first hope for making its presence felt in the local elections than anything else. BJP will have the star power of Pawan Kalyan this time. But then, things are not even favorable for Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena itself here. So, there is an opportunity but lot of hard work to be done.
