More Techies Approach TS Labour Department

As the fear of mass layoffs looms large on IT industry, more techies are approaching Telangana labour department to save them from illegal terminations. About 30 of such techies have reached out to the department so far.

Some of the companies are forcing the employees to resign themselves since they need not pay the 3-6 months salary compensation. Companies are however defending the movie saying that these are performance based exits common every year.

However, the insiders say that the number of lay-offs this year are in the range of 20 per cent which is unheard of. Even those promoted recently were not spared indicating that they have got nothing to do with their performances.
