Most wanted IAS Smita Sabarwal, slapped court warrant

Mention her name in Medak district of Telangana State, people can’t forget her ways of governance when she was the collector of the district, the way she took up many awareness programmes and also for being a strict officer. Smita Sabarwal is unanimously lauded as ‘beauty with brains’. Obviously her success story and her working style immediately attracted her to the CMO’s office. She is indeed the first female IAS officer to be chosen to work for the State CMO.

Today, she is the most wanted IAS and it is learnt, if she comes out from CMO, all the districts want to avail her services. Before working as the collector of Medak, earlier she was the sub-collector in Madanapally, Chittoor district in 2003. Those days during her tenure she found out that 39 under employess working as bonded labour in Gayathri Stone Crushers and hence filed a complaint on the management.

The court case is still running. Smita appeared before court upto 2009. After that she chose not to appear before court regarding the above said case. But she has been receiving summons. Finally, of late the court slapped a bailable warrant on Smitha Sabarwal and asked her to appear before court on or before 15th December. Pradeep Kumar, the first class magistrate of Madanapally issued orders on the same.
