Shock to KCR: MP Quits BRS Before Polls!

In a major shocker to BRS before the Telangana Lok Sabha elections, the party has lost its MP Venkatesh Netha as he quit the party today and announced that he is meeting Congress veteran KC Venugopal and joining the Congress party.

This is the first instance of BRS losing a sitting public representative to the Congress party and it comes at a time when KCR and KTR have started to amp up the political campaign in view of the coming MP elections.

Venkatesh is the sitting MP from Peddapalle constituency and he won by a substantial 95,000 votes in 2018. Losing a proven leader like Netha could come as a jolt to BRS and moreover, right before the polls.

Incidentally, another BRS senior T Rajaiah had also quit BRS a couple of days ago. He was the first deputy CM in Telangana in KCR’s cabinet and he too has left BRS before the coming polls.

Congress party and Revanth Reddy are leaving no stong unturned for the coming MP campaign and these movements from BRS and Congress could project a potential polling trend in Telangana.
