100Cr defamation suit on media

Indian Cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is planning to do what many just think off. The cricketer is going to issue a defamation suit to a media house for false reporting on him which would be damaging to his personality.

A leading Hindi daily has published an article accusing Dhoni of match fixing a test match in England in 2014. The report was based on the inputs given by the then Indian cricket team manager Sunil Dev. MS Dhoni has found this to be damaging to his status as Indian cricketer and therefore has threatened a defamation case.

The lawyers representing Dhoni have sent a nine page lawsuit to the daily. It also states that the manager who is cited a source for fixing allegation, denies ever telling such things to any media house.
