With the Union government ruling out any chances to relook the proposal to privatize the Vishaka Steel plant, a large number of VSP employees, workers, and representatives of trade unions have been protesting at the Andhra Bhavan, New Delhi against the move.

TDP MPs have expressed their solidarity and support to the agitation. Srikakulam MP Ram Mohan Naidu’s stirring speech has gone viral on social media. The speech has got a rousing reception from the people present at the protest site.

“People are talking about injustice to South India. It is even more for Andhra Pradesh right from bifurcation to special status, railway zone, and steel plant. We should end this. We should not allow people trampling our aspirations,” he said.

“Can Modi government dare to privatize any PSU in West Bengal? Can they touch any PSU in Tamil Nadu or Kerala? Modi Saab, you have saved the GSPCL of your Gujarat by diverting funds from ONGC. Are we living in another country? Every state in the country should have similar justice?” he thundered.
