Konda Surekha’s lawyer, Gurpreet Singh, filed a counter to the defamation case filed by Nagarjuna. Advocate Ashok Reddy argued on behalf of Nagarjuna.

He said that Konda Surekha made derogatory comments against Nagarjuna’s family and apologized for the same the next day on X. He read the post written by Surekha on X to the magistrate.

He pointed out that it is not right for Surekha, being in such a responsible position, to make such comments against Nagarjuna’s family. He said that Nagarjuna’s family was deeply hurt and disturbed by her statements. He added that Surekha is eligible for criminal action against her.

Konda Surekha, while speaking to the media a couple of months ago, said that KTR was the reason behind Naga Chaitanya and Samantha’s divorce. She went on to claim that KTR asked Nagarjuna to send Samantha to him to prevent N-Convention from being demolished. These comments sparked a huge outrage and resulted in KTR and Nagarjuna filing defamation cases against Surekha
