Naidu a Shrewd Salesman for No Reason!

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is embarking a tour to the United States from today. Before going to the USA, Chandrababu Naidu was meeting some Ministers in Delhi the other day. Hours after the meeting, Union Cabinet accorded International Status to Vijayawada Airport.

The International Operations in the Airport will begin four months from now. Naidu was keen on having Cabinet ratification for the International Airport before his US Tour. Lack of International Airport has become a big hindrance to Andhra Pradesh to attract investors.

Until now, Investors were to land in Hyderabad Airport and from there to Vijayawada Airport on a special flight. This has become a cumbersome process and a close proximity to an airport has become a prerequisite for Andhra Pradesh Development.

Naidu is pursuing this with Modi government for a long time and finally managed to get it at the right time. With TDP Senior Leader Ashok Gajapathi Raju as the Union Civil Aviation Minister, the needed permissions and other formalities have to be easily and operations are likely to begin as soon as possible.
