Naidu adopts Gujarat Model to help investors!

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is living up to his good name of being an investor friendly CM. Mr.Naidu is trying all that he can to ease pressure on investors. The latest such step is utilization of Escort Officers who will guide and assist investors in obtaining the necessary permissions required for starting a project.

This Escort Officers mostly young and energetic postgraduates will follow the functioning of the Industrial Extension Bureau, popularly known as iNDEXTb in Gujarat. They work as facilitators for entrepreneurs as well as persuade investors to set up industries in AP. They will act a single point contact between the investors and various departments of the government.

Chandrababu has planned to groom 20 of them in the first batch and send them to Gujarat for training. Once they complete their training, AP government would provide an escort officer to each investor who comes forward to set up a major industry in the state. This kind of Escort Officers system is in place since 1978 and they have helped the industrialization of Gujarat very much.
