Naidu brings Cabinet to Social Media!

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is the most active Telugu politician on social networking sites. He has significant presence in Twitter and Facebook as well. In the last cabinet meeting on Monday, Naidu instructed his cabinet colleague to open Facebook and Twitter accounts and become active of social networking sites so that they can gauge the mood of the people as well know the feedback on their performance.

Only four ministers, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Devineni Umamaheshwar Rao, Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Acchan Naidu have Facebook accounts which are active and are being maintained by the staff of the ministers. No other minister in the cabinet has a Twitter account.

Naidu also asked his cabinet colleagues to respond to queries posed by people on a daily basis and forward the grievances to the concerned officials for quick redressal. The Chief Minister is also planning to digitalize all complaints received by the social networking sites to evaluate the performance of ministers and senior officials as well as improve the transparency and accountability of his government.
