Naidu To Face His National Friends For The First Time After Defeat

The Union Government has called for a meeting of all party Presidents on 19th of this month on the issue of One Nation, One Election, Ways to improve the productivity of Parliament, Building of a new India in the 75th year of Independence, Programme and commitments to celebrate Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary, and Aspirational districts program – achievements and challenges.

TDP Supremo Chandrababu Naidu also got an invite to the meeting and is likely to attend. This will be the first time Chandrababu will be meeting the Leader of other National Parties after that drubbing in Andhra Pradesh Elections. Since the defeat, some of Naidu’s earlier friends like Stalin and Kumaraswamy are already cozying with Jagan.

The only positive for Naidu is that he cannot be embarrassed to meet the National Leaders. Because Congress is once again confined to Two Digit MP Seats, Mamata lost many seats to BJP, Akhilesh Yadav and Mayawati’s Mahaghatbandhan failed in Uttar Pradesh and JD(S) in Karnataka managed just one seat.

So, every leader is in an awkward position. Only Stalin is in a better position having won more than 30 MP Seats in Tamil Nadu. Naidu may be repenting for banking on Congress changing the party’s ideology. He went hard on Modi and Amit Shah during the campaign and now they are after him.
