Naidu to make the equation 1:3 with Hyd

On the lines of the Hyderabad International Convention Centre in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh government had drawn plans to develop three convention centers in major cities of Andhra Pradesh – Vishakapatnam, Vijayawada and Tirupati.

Infrastructure Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (Incap), the nodal agency of the AP government, had invited Expression of Interest (EOI) for executing the projects on BOT (build, operate and transfer) basis. It is said that 19 companies have shown interest for these convention centers.

The convention centres at Vizag and Tirupati are being planned with a seating capacity of 8,000-10,000 people and will also have a star hotel, exhibition halls, shopping complex cum multiplex, food courts and entertainment centres. Where as Vijayawada will have a mini-convention hall.
