Naidu to offer Cheap Internet to every household!

Tech Savvy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu is all set to provide state-of-the-art optical fiber network in the state and internet connection to 12 million homes.

The state cabinet cleared this ‘Fiber Grid Project’ which provides optical fiber network to villages and also 10-15 Mbps internet connection to 12 million homes at an affordable price. Cabinet decided to allocate Rs 10 crore towards its initial expenses and has submitted the proposals to the Center too.

The state is planning to provide 1.30 Crore households with 10-15 Mbps for 150 Rupees and also every panchayati will be equipped with 1Gb speed internet. Providing internet to every household is one of the poll promises of Telugu Desam Party in the last elections and Andhra Pradesh government now has taken baby steps towards fulfilling it.
