Naidu unveils first ‘Made in AP’ Smart Phone!

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had launched the first Made in AP Smartphone, Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime at an event in Vishakapatnam. The phone was manufactured in the company’s facility at Sri City of Andhra Pradesh. In fact the phone is also the first Made in India Smartphone.

The company’s India head, Manu Kumar Jain announced that Xiaomi do not want to be seen as international brand. “We are truly an Indian brand”, said Mr.Jain. CM Chandrababu said India is looking to become the hardware capital of the World under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He also invited hardware manufacturers to invest in the state as it begins its mission of becoming a hardware manufacturing hub not just for India but even for export. Redmi 2 Prime stuffed with advance features is priced at 6999 Rupees
