Naidu’s Cost Cutting method for Capital ORR!

Andhra Pradesh government will need 4000 acres for the proposed 183 Km Outer Ring Road neat the upcoming state capital. The acquisition cost for these lands will be around 5000 Crore and government wants to save the amount by going for land pooling on similar lines of the state capital. Central government already agreed in principle to fund the 19700 Crore ORR.

The ORR is planned to be an eight-lane ground level expressway with service roads on either side. The route of the ORR has been tentatively decided. According to the current plan, the ORR passes through Nalla Cheruvu near Guntur, Gudivada, Hanuman Junction, Nuzvidu, Mylavaram, Kanchikacherala and Tenali.

Officials say the government will need to acquire 22.5 acres per km and are even working on a shorter route. The current draft plan is handed over to the Singapore Team who is preparing the Master Plan of the capital. The final plan will be decided once the Singapore Team and the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu ratifies it.
