Jagan Tortured But Lokesh Apologised!

The kind of abnormal activities carried out by the previous Jagan administration against certain investors in the previous term was absolutely terrorising to the business ecosystem. One of the main victims of this Jagan rule was Galla Jayadev who was an MP with the TDP back then.

It looked certain that Jayadev would expand Amar Raja battery industries in Andhra Pradesh which would’ve generated thousands of jobs, but Jagan had other ideas.

The Jagan government absolutely ridiculed this investment proposal and exerted so much pressure on Jayadev that he had to simply move out of Andhra Pradesh and look for alternatives. He had to shift to Hyderabad as a trigger reaction to the pressure piled by Jagan government.

Now that Jayadev has successfully moved to Hyderabad and open the plant, Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh has extended an apology letter.

Lokesh stated “For over four decades, Amara Raja has been more than just one of Andhra Pradesh’s greatest industrial success stories. But the harassment your company endured under the previous government should never have happened.”

The IT minister added that it pains him that a company born in Andhra Pradesh had to look beyond our borders for its next chapter of growth.

As we rebuild trust, I want you to know this: Andhra Pradesh is once again open for enterprise. We hope Amara Raja’s biggest chapters will still be written in the state where its journey began. Our doors, and our hearts, will always remain open. Best wishes on your new Telangana facility, Lokesh concluded.

This is perhaps a reflection of the kind of torture that several companies had to bear under Jagan administration, and this explains why AP was drastically down in the investment index before 2024. But the positive thing is that the new government is proactive in extending a helping hand and things are bound to return to normal if this administration sustains for years.
