Lokesh Clarifies ‘Yellow’ Colour for Govt Schemes

Nara Lokesh took to his X handle to counter YSRCP allegations about sewing machine scam and using yellow colour for the machines.

He addressed Jagan and said that Jagan never bothered about people and was busy ammasing wealth. Lokesh said he was not even a MLA when Jagan was in power. But that was the time when I decided to make the people of Mangalagiri self-employed, he wrote as a member of TDP which was born for people.

After I became an MLA and a Minister, I provided the tools and financial support to weavers, goldsmiths women and small business people. I did all that with my own funds. I never segregated people based on caste, religion. We provided women training and support through Stree Shakti programme. We provided certificates post training, gave them machines and material so that they can stand on their own feet.

We started Stree Shakti Kendra in Mangalagiri on June 20, 2022. 46 batches have passed out from here and 2226 women were given machines. We started Stree Shakti Kendra in Tadepalli on February 1, 2023. Here, 17 batches have trained and 666 women got machines. In Duggirala, we started the Kendra on April 10, 2023. 16 batches were trained with 616 women getting machines.

We have completed training for 3508 women and provided them with quality machines. All this was done with my money. As the money came from my account, I gave machines in yellow which symbolizes prosperity and is the colour of my party TDP.

We don’t have the mindset to name schemes using public money after us or use our party colours. Your lies are temporary, but our truth is forever, said Minister Lokesh giving a strong reply to YSRCP.
