Nara Lokesh posted some exciting news on his X handle. He started off by praising our defence forces for using indigenously produced equipment during Operation Sindoor.
He then underscored the need to ramp up our defence manufacturing in a big way. Lokesh disclosed that under the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu, they identified 5 defence corridors to manufacture aerospace and defence industries.
Jaggaiahpet – Donakonda hub of 6000 acres
Lepakshi – Madakasira hub of 10,000 acres
Vizag – Anakapalli hub of 3000 acres
Kurnool – Orvakal hub of 4000 acres
Tirupati as an advanced R&D hub in defence innovation.
Lokesh further wrote that under the able guidance of Narendra Modi, defence corridors will strengthen our defence and aerospace capabilities, while generating employment for our people.
Meanwhile, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu who is in New Delhi, met up with Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and proposed defence production in Andhra. He also proposed missile and drone clusters apart from development of space cities near SHAR and Lepakshi.
