Lokesh Meets President: That’s The Difference!

Telugu Desam party is one of the most inclusive political parties in India. This is the reason why the party has sustained the tough Andhra Pradesh political system for four decades and still continuing to come to power.

IT Minister and TDP chief Chandrababu’s successor Nara Lokesh is currently in Delhi as he thanked President Droupadi Murmu for issuing the gazette notification regarding Amaravati as the AP capital. He took the occasion to meet TDP MPs and took them with him to meet the President.

This is perhaps in sharp contrast to the previous method of operation that was employed by YSR Congress while it was in power.

Whenever Jagan went to Delhi, it was mostly a secluded political meeting, and he was almost entirely confined to meeting only Vijay Sai Reddy or a select couple of other MPs.

And whenever YCP needed an interaction with the central government, it was either Vijay Sai Reddy or Midhun Reddy, who were handed over the responsibility. No other MP had much of a representation on behalf of YCP at the central level.

But in the case of TDP, the situation is completely different as Lokesh took the big occasion to meet the President and shared the stage with the rest of the TDP MPs. There was no attempt to grab all the attention by himself or to confine the meeting with the PM to a one on one session.

Political experts are billing that this is the difference that sets TDP apart from YSR Congress which mostly has monotonous policies.
