Chaganti Program & Mock Assembly, Lokesh Trying Something Different

Nara Lokesh as Education Minister brings visible reforms. You now see textbooks free from Political Leaders’ photos and party colours. Uniforms, bags, and belts stay neutral, without political branding. School property no longer promotes any party identity.

Even when the Chief Minister, Ministers, or MLAs visit schools, they avoid party scarfs and political speeches. The rule stands firm. Students receive a space free from propaganda and party influence.

Lokesh also changed textbooks to maintain gender neutrality. He removed stereotypes that assigned household work only to women. You see representation balanced across roles, activities, and daily tasks.

Change inside a Government is never easy, yet Lokesh pushes forward to improve Andhra Pradesh’s Education System. He wants students to compete globally while learning values and ethics along with academics.

He appointed Chaganti Koteswara Rao as Advisor to the Department and arranged value-based programs for school students. The Vijayawada event earlier this week received strong applause and turned into a success for Lokesh.

Today, he organised a Mock Assembly in Velagapudi by bringing students from 175 constituencies, from 8th to 10th standard. Students took seats as Ruling and Opposition members with a Speaker overseeing proceedings.

They debated two bills social media regulation and environmental protection. This session went live across 45,000 schools. Young students spoke with innocence, growing awareness, and surprising maturity.

The Speaker, Chief Minister, Lokesh, and other leaders attended and later appreciated the participants. The entire session held attention and felt refreshing to watch.

Initiatives like Mock Assembly and the Chaganti programs draw students and the public closer to governance. People usually ignore politics unless it affects them or elections arrive, and politics often looks distant and elitist.

For the first time in a long while, Lokesh involves citizens directly. He presents an example of a Minister stepping beyond routine work, taking active steps to bring real change within his Ministry.
