
Minister Nara Lokesh said that the YSRCP leaders were getting heart attacks at the very mention of red book. Lokesh is presently touring Machilipatnam in Krishna district. He was given a grand welcome by local MLAs.
The women gave aarti to Minister Lokesh and thanked him for providing Talliki Vandanam scheme. Lokesh said that their objective was to make sure that no mother suffers to educate her children.
Lokesh further said that they have seen how the YSRCP leaders badmouth women. Under the alliance government, women will be spoken to respectfully, he said.
Soon, we will introduce parent teacher meetings in schools, shared Lokesh. There should be a change in society. The way women are spoken to must change, said the Minister. He added that it cannot be achieved through laws and money.
Lokesh took the opportunity to say that he cannot do anything without the support of Brahmani. If my mother wouldn’t have sacrificed, my father wouldn’t be able to serve you, said Lokesh.
Lokesh said that his government will take steps to make sure women are respected in the state.
It is known that the alliance government is taking swift action against those using derogatory speech against women, irrespective of who it is.
