Lokesh Responds on Deputy CM Plan

Nara Lokesh was asked if he would be returning to the next India Today Conclave as the deputy CM and how he looked at the next decade in terms of dynasty politics, Lokesh had an instant reply.

He said it was not for Babu to decide, but it is for people to decide who will lead them.

Lokesh said he always took the path less traveled. I contested in a constituency that TDP hasn’t won since 1985. I lost in 2019 with 5000 odd votes. But I stuck at it and finally won it with a majority of 91,000 votes, shared Lokesh.

I took the HRD ministry as it is the toughest. When asked why it was toughest, Lokesh said that they have amazing unions. The teachers’ unions are very strong, he shared.

I believe that’s where change should start. Education is what needs to be changed. I believe in it. I have taken the road less traveled and it is for the people of Amdhra Pradesh to decide who sits where!

Given the fact that Lokesh is being looked upon as the heir-apparent, his reply comes bang on to show that in a democracy, people are the ultimate decision-makers.
