The Centre has released Rs 432.19 crore to strengthen education in Andhra Pradesh. Minister Nara Lokesh’s efforts are clearly reflected in this allocation.
A total of Rs 167.46 crore has been allotted for the development of secondary and senior secondary schools. These funds will be used for ICT labs, smart classrooms, and modern science laboratories.
In the past, District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) colleges received only half of the required funds. This time, Rs 45 crore has been allocated, of which 96 percent, around Rs 43.23 crore, has been sanctioned. Additionally, Rs 11 crore has been granted for tribal hostels.
During his Delhi visit last week, Nara Lokesh held meetings with several Union Ministers. He also met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman. His initiatives led to the immediate release of the funds, marking a major success.
