Lokesh’s Yuvagalam Draws Huge Crowd In Kondepi

YCP is usually strong in SC constituencies across Andhra Pradesh. Of the 28 SC-reserved constituencies in AP, TDP could manage to win only 1 – Kondepi as Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy Dola won from here in the last two elections.

Cut to now, TDP scion Nara Lokesh set foot in Kondepi today and he was welcomed by a humongous crowd there.

A huge public meeting was planned in Kondepi amidst the onset of Lokesh’s Yuvagalam in the constituency and this event saw massive crowds. Kondepi was painted yellow as the TDP brigade hit the area.

Given the dominance of TDP already in Kondepi with victories in 2014 and 19, and considering the massive crowd reception for Lokesh now, a victory in the next polls looks like a mere formality now.

YCP candidate Madasi Venkaiah lost from here in 2019 by just 1000 votes. But he was then replaced as YCP in-charge with Ashok Babu. They are now quarelling as Ashok’s group recently attacked Venkaiah’s group. With these internal clashes, YCP is likely to have a tough time holding the ground in this constituency.
