National Yoga Research Center in Amaravati

On the eve of International Yoga day, Central government had revealed its plans of a 100 Crore National Research Center for Yoga and Naturopathy in the capital region of Andhra Pradesh. This Research Center will be totally funded by the Central government.

This will come up in 25 acres near Agiripalli and the construction will begin as soon as the state government handed over the land. The endowments department of the state government is making efforts to set up ‘nature cure and yoga wellness centers’ in all 13 districts of AP by the end of this year.

Despite the criticism, Yoga day is a big success in the country as people came out in big numbers taking it up and giving Yoga a good promotion. The Prime Minister himself performed Yoga in the National Capital while Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu performed it in vijayawada. Both Namo and Naidu have been ardent practitioners of Yoga for years now.
