New Notices, New Clues in TG Phone Tapping Case

DSP Praneeth Rao who is allegedly involved in phone tapping case, has been called for inquiry again by SIT. As the inquiry of the main accused Prabhakar Rao is going on, calling Praneeth Rao has gained prominence.

Praneeth Rao used to supervise Special Operation Target (SOT) to tap the phones of politicians while in Special Intelligence Branch (SIB). Due to this, he is being interrogated again.

During the past government’s term, Praneeth’s team used special leased lines and computers to tap phones. Once the government changed, they burnt the hard disc and threw it into the Musi River, the inquiry revealed.

The interrogating body sent the retrieved disc to the Forensic Lab. SIT got the reports recently. SIT already found that the entire process was carried out by the orders of Prabhakar Rao.

Following Forensic Lab reports, Praneeth Rao has been called for inquiry. Based on that, Prabhakar Rao is likely to be interrogated on June 14, according to reliable sources. Meanwhile, it is being said that Prabhakar Rao confessed to setting up SOT to tap phones of political leaders.

Due to this, the testimony of Praneeth Rao and Prabhakar Rao’s inquiry would give a vital twist to the phone tapping case, say sources.
