New twist in Loans Sharing between AP and Telangana

Telangana government had officially turned down paying interests to the loans taken in the United State. The then state government took 8653 Crores from the Center for various schemes. These loans are to be divided in population ratio. However the division is not complete yet.

On the other side, Andhra Pradesh is paying 150 Crores as interest every month for these loans. Like wise, AP had paid 600 Crores of Telangana’s share in interests till date and had requested Telangana government to reimburse them as soon as possible.

However Telangana government officially turned down the request. Telangana in turn dashed a letter saying that Center had allotted 1600 Crore for Rural development in the United State and it requested AP to decide its share in that. Telangana government also maintained that it will think of the interests only when this tussle is solved.
