News Channels Ratings: TV9 Happiness Shortlived

BARC released the ratings of Telugu News Channels for the Week 23 of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in 15+ Category. After being in the Number one position for two weeks, TV9‘s happiness is short-lived and it slid to second position once again.

NTV regained the Number one position with a margin of 5 GRPs.

It is interesting to note that TV9 unleashed a massive outdoor campaign that their Number One Position is genuine and NTV was in the Top for many weeks due to Kutra (Conspiracies). There were hoardings all over AP and Telangana tomtoming their Number One Position.

TV9‘s happiness is now short-lived. The position is lost in just two weeks.

TV9 was maintaining the slender lead over NTV with less than 2 GRPs. And they celebrated it early for just two weeks.

And now after losing it, the campaign has come as a self-embarassment. The Ratings war will get intense in the next one year as Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are going to elections.

Meanwhile, TV5 is in the third position while ABN is in the fifth and Sakshi in Seventh.
