Nitin Gadkari Coming to Polavaram

Union Water Resources Minister, Nitin Gadkari is going to visit Polavaram Project Site on 22nd of this month. This is the first visit of the Union Minister after Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed his displeasure over the Center’s attitude on the project in the Assembly.

By the time Gadkari comes, A high-level committee appointed to decide on the Upper Coffer Dam of the project will also submit its report. The report will be crucial for the relationship of the state and the center. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will be going to Polavaram tomorrow and it is his 22nd Polavaram Tour so far.

Polavaram Multi-Purpose Irrigation Project comes with a total capacity of 194 TMC which will irrigate about Five Lakh Acres over Two Crops Every year. Hence the project is said to be very beneficial for the state and is treated as the ‘Life Line’.
