No alternatives for Osmania shifting!

We are almost nearing the end of the one week time frame which was announced by Telangana Chief Minister, Chandrasekhar Rao for the shifting the Osmania hospital. But the state government is still struggling to find an alternative address for the hospital.

The government planned to shift the hospital to to a newly-constructed five-storey building at Niloufer Hospital. However Telangana Government Doctors’ Association vowed to stall any such move as such shift can be dangerous in the view of the poor Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) in Telangana.

Another option is the trauma care centers at NIMS hospital but there is no space left there as well confirmed NIMS Hospital’s faculty association. Plans are on to shift the entire Sultan Bazaar maternity hospital to Petlaburj maternity hospital. The exercise seem to be taking very long time.
