No Corruption in Polavaram: Center

YSR Congress Rajya Sabha MP Vijaya Sai Reddy today in the Parliament asked the Central Government if there are any reports of corruption in Polavaram Project and if the Center is mulling CBI inquiry on the same. Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat answered the Question on the behalf of the government

The YSR Congress National Secretary in Parliament asked the center if the irregularities of Polavaram Relief and Rehabilitation works came to its notice. “We have no reports about corruption in the Polavaram Project. The question about CBI inquiry does not arise,” the Minister said much to the disappointment of Vijaya Sai Reddy.

Ever since YSR Congress came to Power, both Jagan and Vijaya Sai Reddy are keen to pin down Chandrababu Naidu in some corruption case and send him to jail. Jagan is busy reviewing the various projects and is asking the officials to come with some loophole or other to send Chandrababu to jail.

On the other side, the Center also confirmed that the Polavaram project will be completely funded by the Central Government since it is a National Project. The Project is 60% completed so far, the minister said.
