No COVID Review, KCR Sits 11 Hours Non-Stop for New Secretariat

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao seems to be unfazed about the criticism his Government is getting about the inept handling of the Corona Crisis. There is no news about the Chief Minister reviewing the Corona situation in the state in the last couple of months.

But KCR chaired a Review Meeting of the Proposed Secretariat the other day. He sat for Eleven Hours Straight discussing every single room in the Secretariat and giving his opinion about how they should be and the amenities that are needed.

This is the third Review of the New Secretariat construction ever since all the legal hurdles were cleared for the previous secretariat. Meanwhile, there are allegations that the state government is grossly underreporting the number of Corona cases and deaths.

Also, there are several instances of Private Hospitals fleecing the patients in the name of Corona Treatment. The State High Court has rapped the Government several times for the same. According to the medical bulletin released this morning, the state has recorded 2,083 new Corona cases on 31st July taking the total tally to 64,786 cases.
