No downloads for Politicians mobile Apps!

Tech companies have flooded the apps of politicians of both the Telugu States in the heat of last elections and the state bifurcation. Ministers, former ministers, MPs and MLAs from the Telugu Desam, YSR Congress, Congress and Telangana Rashtra Samiti have themselves launched their own apps but they are neither popular nor active.

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu have got decent number of downloads with some 1,000 to 5,000 installations. As far as the rest of the leaders, the app downloads were ranging from few 100s to paltry 10s.

In fact, some of the politicians do not have apps operating on their name as the tech companies created them for publicity. Leaders who have got their apps developed ignored them after the elections. Also many of the leaders did not submit the expenses for developing the app with the Election Commission of India.
