No Election Speech by Modi at Red Fort

Amid huge expectations about the announcement of doles in the view of elections the next year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made no such announcement from his Independence Day Speech from the Red Fort a little while ago.

He only mentioned that Ayushman Bhava aka Modi Care – A Universal Health Care Programme will cater the needs of 10 Crore Indians. This scheme will start rolling from September 25th which was already announced. He mentioned the Tribals of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana scaling the Everest.

There were expectations that Modi would abolish Income Tax below Five Lakhs and some other sops. People who expected some respite from the last Independence Day Speech of Modi are disappointed. Obviously the most disappointed will be the supporters of BJP who thought of blowing the elections conch right from the historic Red Fort.
