No Fee Reimbursement for Andhras in Telangana!

Students of Andhra Pradesh who are residing in Telangana and are locals to that state according to the Presidential Order are now in soup with the stands of both the Telugu States. Telangana government had already made it clear that it will only reimburse the fees of those students whose families are living in Telangana earlier to 1956.

Andhra Pradesh government has decided that the scheme will be applicable to the students belonging to Telangana, who are “local” to Andhra Pradesh and are studying in the institutions, located in AP. It also made it clear that the same will be sanctioned to the students belonging to AP who are “local” to Andhra Pradesh and are studying in the institutions located in Telangana.

But both the states now have left those students from Andhra Pradesh, local to Telangana according to Presidential Order but studying in Telangana. Now the future of such students is in doldrums after being ignored by both the states. AP Government sources say the government can not afford this task due to the growing burden on the state coffers but promised to fight in courts for the students against Telangana government violating the Presidential order.
