No Money For Jagan’s Helipads

The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been touring extensively of late, in the build-up for the coming elections. He likes to travel by helicopter and necessary arrangements are being made wherever he goes.

In this context, the latest report from Eenadu states that the contractors who are building these helipads for Jagan are losing money from their own pockets.

Last July, the chief minister and the prime minister, Modi took part in Alluri Seetharamaju Jayanthi celebrations. Contractors spent Rs 1.3 crore on building the helipads of the CM and PM.

The state government was supposed to clear the bill. However, the contractor is yet to receive the money and is reportedly still waiting at the R&B office for the money he spent.

Reportedly, the contractors who are working on the helipads and barricading for Jagan’s tours are not receiving money. Such pending bills have climbed up to Rs 5 crore in the last year.

The contractors are reportedly saying they are forced to set up the equipment in a hurry when the chief minister is coming but when it comes to clearing the bills, the government is never prompt.
