No Power cuts in Hyderabad this year!

Telangana government had decided to make Hyderabad Power cut free this year. Telangana GENCO announced that there will not be any power cuts for domestic as well as industrial users this year. Hyderabad got power cuts last year from December onwards and they have intensified from March.

This year even in April, there are no power cuts. Government claims that it managed to increase Thermal Power Load factor from 73% to 87%, also bringing down transmission losses by 1% saved 900 Crore for the government from power sector.

Also the government managed to supply power through purchases from central and private companies. The government also managed to control Paddy cultivation this season which helped the power consumption in the state decrease drastically. Anyways KCR government should be appreciated for effectively dealing with the power crisis this summer.
