No Records for 1000s of acres of govt lands in TS

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is in for a big shock when he came to known that the revenue department of the state do not have any records of 1000s of acres of government lands which makes things easy for land grabbers to encroach and register with stamps by creating fake documents.

The officials have even clarified to the CM that the government can not even fight court cases against encroachers to reclaim lands due to the defective records. The Chief Minister directed the officials to accumulate the survey numbers of lands with proper records and release a list of ‘banned lands’, where registrations cannot be done by anyone in future.

This banned lands list will be circulated to the offices of sub-registrars in all the 10 districts of state with clear-cut instructions that no registrations should be allowed or done of these lands.
