No Sanctity for National Media Exit Polls Regarding AP?

As soon as the Clock Struck Six the other day, All The Channels have rushed in to Predict the Mood of the Nation. Disappointing the Warriors of UPA-3 and Federal Fronts, all the channels have predicted a comeback of Modi for another term. Coming to AP, A majority of survey agencies predicted Jagan coming while a few said Chandrababu will retain Power.

However, many feel that National Media will not be able to gauge the mood of the people particularly from the South. We are taking two Exit Polls to support this argument. To balance the argument, we are taking one survey which predicted TDP’s win and the other voting for YSR Congress’ Victory.

CVoter has predicted TDP victory (36.5%) while YSR Congress gets 34.9% and Janasena registering an impressive 24.9%. That means Janasena is performing better than how Praja Rajyam did in 2009 which is almost impossible. Coming to India Today – Axis My India predicted 18-20 seats to YSR Congress and 4-6 Seats to TDP.

YSR Congress is expected to get 45% while TDP is getting 38%. The Survey gives just 5% to Janasena. That is fine until you see the other column which gives 4% Vote Share to Congress and 3% Vote Share to BJP. Congress at 4% and Janasena at 5% is a Joke. These cases cast doubts on the sanctity of the National Media Exit Polls.
