No women in KCR’s Cabinet!

The talks of women being half part in World and equal to every one seems to be just confined to speeches and books. Telangana State’s first cabinet seems to be one more such place with no place for women. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had expanded his cabinet for the first time after assuming office. The Chief Minister has exhausted all the available eighteen slots in the cabinet with the new additions.

Yet there is no single women in the cabinet. Experts expected Konda Surekha to bag a berth for sure to fill the quota. But KCR refused her in the last minute saying that it is not possible due to social calculations. Konda Surekha was assured that her husband, Konda Murali will be getting MLC seat in the upcoming MLC vacancies.

As a eye wash, KCR nominated Asifabad MLA Kovva Lakshmi as Parliamentary Secretary. TRS sources defend Parliamentary Secretary post is equal to a deputy minister post and will have a cabinet rank.
