Not a Single Rupee for AP’s Capital!

Union Budget tabled a short while ago by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley a short while ago in Parliament did not have any mention of the center’s aide to the construction of Andhra Pradesh’s upcoming state capital. Subsequently the budget did not have a single rupee allocated to the state capital construction that will begin later this year.

According to the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act, the Center will have to bear the expense of the new capital construction but the center comfortably ignored it in this budget. The finance minister only reiterated that his government is committed to all the promises that are made to both the Telugu State in the state reorganization act.

Life will become further difficult for the state after this budget as all the hopes of center’s help stand shattered. Singapore Team will be submitting its Master Plan in Mid-June and the construction will then begin. The state government will now have to mobilize funds from other sources like Overseas Development Agencies (ODA)
